Managing Tasks

Tasks keep you and your team organized by tracking important follow-ups, reminders, and job-related to-dos. Since every Task is linked to a Deal, they are also automatically connected to the related Contact and Company — ensuring everything stays in context.

This article gives you an overview of managing tasks, with links to detailed guides for each action.

➕ Creating Tasks

Add new tasks to remind yourself or assign them to a teammate.

✏️ Editing Tasks

Update a task’s title, due date, description, or assigned user if details change.

✅ Completing Tasks

Check off a task when it’s finished. Completed tasks move to the Completed tab with a strikethrough. If you mark one complete by mistake, you can reopen it.

🗑 Deleting Tasks

Remove a task if it’s no longer needed. Deleted tasks are removed from the Tasks page, but activity history remains on the related Deal, Contact, and Company.

📋 Viewing Tasks in Context

Tasks appear not only on the Tasks page, but also in the:

  • Deal page (Tasks section + Activity)

  • Contact page (Tasks section + Activity)

  • Company page (Tasks section + Activity)

💡 Pro tip: Use tasks as lightweight reminders tied to Deals — that way, every follow-up and action item stays connected to the right customer and job.
