PaintScout has the ability to work offline -- allowing you to create estimates on-site, even in areas with poor cell reception.
What does 'offline' mean?
Typically, when you are creating an estimate in PaintScout, any information that you input is stored in 'the cloud'. When you're offline, your information is stored locally in your device's browser and will sync back to our system when you regain an internet connection.
How do I use PaintScout offline?
Log in to PaintScout before you leave internet connection.
You can then pull up PaintScout and create new estimates.
When on-site ensure that you are fully offline.
From here you can build your estimate as normal. Make sure you continually save throughout the process.
When you reconnect to the internet, your estimate will sync to the system.
Note: If you are offline, you can only build estimates -- you cannot send, search, download etc.
What if I am in spotty service?
If you are in an area with spotty coverage and are wavering between online and offline, we recommend putting your device into airplane mode to ensure that you are fully working offline. This will help avoid confusion as to whether you are truly offline or online, therefore ensuring you're able to save your estimate properly.
