# Delete a Task

If a task is no longer needed, you can delete it. Deleted tasks are removed from the Tasks page.

{% hint style="danger" %}
**Important:** this feature requires the paid **Operations add-on.**
{% endhint %}

## Deleting a Task

1. Locate the task you want to update (from Tasks page, or deal/contact/company)
2. Click directly on the task or the **"..." (More)** menu beside the task & delete.
3. Confirm deletion when prompted.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Pro tip:** Use delete only when a task is no longer relevant. If you’ve completed the task, [mark it as **Complete**](/support/operations/tasks/how-to-mark-a-task-as-complete.md) instead so the history stays visible.
{% endhint %}
