# Why is my auto follow-up not sending?

An auto follow-up in PaintScout will not send if its trigger condition has not been met, has already been passed, or was added after the condition occurred. Below are the three most common reasons.

## Condition Not Met

The follow-up will not send if the required estimate status has not been reached yet.

For example, if your follow-up triggers when an estimate is *viewed* but the estimate is still in *sent* status, the follow-up is not yet applicable.

## Condition Already Met

The follow-up will not send if the estimate has already moved past the required status. It skips to the next scheduled follow-up instead.

For example, your follow-up is set to send 2 days after the estimate status is *sent*. But the customer *viewed* the estimate immediately. Since the status is now *viewed* (past *sent*), the follow-up will not send.

## Late Addition

A follow-up will not send if it is added *after* the estimate has already met the trigger condition.

If your follow-up has not sent and none of these reasons apply, contact our team at <support@paintscout.com>.
