Presentations V2 Beta Guide

Your presentations just got a whole lot better. Create polished, multi-page customer presentations with PaintScout's redesigned presentation builder.

Presentations V2 is in active development. You may encounter bugs or missing functionality as we improve the experience.

Open Presentation Builder

Go to Account Settings → Presentations. You'll see your existing V1 presentations at the top, and an area for new V2 Presentations below.

Create a presentation

Start a new presentation and choose a layout. Then select typography, colors, and a title.

The layout is permanent for that presentation. Create a new presentation if you need another layout.

If you'd like to use an existing presentation instead, you can convert V1 -> V2 by clicking the 3 dot menu on a presentation and selecting Convert. You do not need to migrate existing presentations- V1 can still be used during beta.

Add pages and content

Open Add in the left navigation.

  1. Select Add page and give the page a clear name. If you'd rather have your presentation all on one page, skip this step.

  2. Drag a section onto the canvas.

  3. Drag blocks into that section or use the + controls on the canvas.

Page names appear in your customer's navigation. With one page, customers see section names instead.

Blocks must live inside a section. Add a section before adding blocks to a blank page.

Edit and save

Select a block to edit it in the right-hand inspector. Its options depend on the block type.

Use the on-canvas controls to copy, move, or delete a block. You can also drag pages, sections, and blocks in the Pages panel.

Use Mobile, iPad, or Desktop in the lower-right corner to review your design. Switch back to Edit before making changes.

Use Save template when you are ready. The top bar confirms whether all changes are saved.

Customize your presentation

Set global styles

Open Global Style from the paintbrush icon. Set colors, default fonts, and heading styles for the entire presentation.

Block-level colors and fonts override global settings. Global styles apply where no local override exists.

Add a global footer

The global footer appears on every page. Use it for durable company details, such as your business name, contact information, or license number.

Double-click a footer column to edit it. You can hide the footer, but you cannot delete it.

Add photos and partner content

Open Photo Library to add or replace images. You can also select Replace Image from an image block.

The Sherwin-Williams category includes ready-made content for every account. Add it from the Sections list in the Add panel.

Use estimate content

Open Settings to select the estimate types that use your presentation. You can also enable Use Quick Cart.

If Quick Cart is off, your presentation needs an Estimate block. Otherwise, PaintScout disables saving until you add one or turn Quick Cart back on.

FAQ

Does V2 replace my existing presentations?

No. Both versions are available during the beta. Your V1 presentations remain unchanged.

Can I convert a V1 presentation?

Yes. Select Convert to new from a V1 presentation in the presentations list. This creates an independent V2 copy and keeps the original. Be sure to check your convered V2 presentation to make sure it looks correct.

Can I change the layout after creating a presentation?

No. Layout is chosen during creation. Create a new presentation to use a different layout.

Why can't I add a block?

Blocks must be inside a section. Add a section to the page first.

Why is Save template disabled?

Open Settings. If Quick Cart is off, add an Estimate block or enable Quick Cart.

Can I edit a presentation from an estimate?

This functionality is unavailable. Edit V2 presentations from Presentation Builder.

Can I create a presentation with AI?

Some beta accounts can use Build with AI during creation. Add your website or company details, then describe the presentation's purpose.

Generation takes several minutes. PaintScout emails you when the presentation is ready.
