Your hourly rate represents the amount you charge your customers per hour for your services. As a painting contractor, it encompasses various factors such as labor, overhead, materials, and your profit margin.

It's worth mentioning that some contractors prefer to itemize material costs separately from their hourly rate. In the Products section, you have the option to include the prices of paints, stains, or other products that will be used on specific surfaces. You can either assign a price to each product or leave it blank. If you decide to specify prices in the products section, it's advisable not to include them in your hourly rate.

1. Navigate to your Person icon and select Account Settings > Estimates > Settings.

3. Input your custom hourly rate into the provided space.

4. Ensure to press the Save Changes button. This change will be effective for new estimates.
